After living in our home a couple of months I discovered in the unfinished basement that one of the windows they installed had a cracked frame. It was in the corner of the opening side of the window. I had Alpine Homes come check it out for a warranty request and the window installer said it was a result of somebody stepping on the window while climbing in and out of it likely during installation. He also showed me where another window was broken from the same type of thing. This one you could actually see the muddy boot mark that stepped on the window and cracked it.
Here is a picture of the window:
Update:
This has been fixed by Alpine Homes by plastic welding it back together. It doesn't look that great of a job but I guess the cracks are gone. I am worried part of the reason the crack is there is the nail in a bad spot and that I am going to see issues with this again.
