Brad Morgan, the Realtor from Alpine Homes was nice and friendly, but he was unprofessional and not helpful. In the initial visit when we discussed buying the home he thought I should sign his contract on the spot. When I said I needed to read through it make sure I knew what I was getting into before I signed, Brad Morgan pressured me even more because he said he needed to get this done before the weekend so he could go on vacation. He said he was going out of town and his boss would be upset if this deal wasn't done. I refused to sign.
When Brad Morgan from Alpine Homes got back from his trip he was easily available and ready to meet with me to sign the papers. I made some adjustments to the contract so I could use my own lender and a few other things. At this point I felt like things were going ahead smoothly.
Now that I had signed the contract Brad Morgan was no where to be found. He would respond to requests 2 weeks later. This posed a major problem because once he finally would respond the issue was now twice as big because the next level of work had been done.
Brad Morgan from Alpine Homes seemed to lose interest as soon as the papers were signed. We were vested at that point and vulnerable as buyers and not likely to cancel the deal. He was another reason why I think Alpine Homes is a bunch of liars and crooks.
The final slap to my face from the Alpine Homes agent was on the day before closing day. They still hadn't installed my garage door opener. Brad seemed to think that this opener wasn't in the contract. He said he would double check and if it was there he would take care of it. Of course it was so when I came back on closing day the opener was installed. It looked a little small for my 2 car garage door. I didn't think anything of it at the time. I decided to look into getting another opener for the single car door and from my research realized the opener they installed for the 2 car was not sufficient for the 2 car door. The motor was made for a single car door. Brad Morgan from Alpine Homes was in charge of this purchase and bought me an opener that is not made for my sized of garage door. This just added insult to injury for an experience that has been less than stellar.
