Telephone Outlets

When in the process of asking for certain things to include in my home I wanted to make sure they installed a couple networking lines. One for my office and then another in the kitchen. Alpine Homes of Utah put in the contract to install telephone outlets. I quickly said they are not the same as CAT5 network outlets. They assured me that they were the same thing and I went on my way.

Months later and the home is complete. I have moved in and to my surprise the outlets are for telephones. Alpine Homes has lied to me again. I am still not sure if the cabling is CAT5 or not, but the outlet they installed is definitely a telephone outlet. If the cabling is not CAT5 I will have a heck of a time now getting the cabling fixed to match what I required for my home.
